DOOM Götter

I've been somewhat absent on talking about this project.... well I've been busy putting together more stuff for it as this first release is launching.

 

Ironhaus Productions, the other half of this collaboration project has put the word out this time around. Don't want you to think I'm not super hyped to be working on this project with Ironhaus... that's the problem, I'm beyond hyped and spending more time on other aspects of the project, and haven't spent much time shooting my mouth off about it.

 

 

 

To be fair, I'm not much for shooting my mouth off about my work or tooting my own horn.

 

I can (pretty easily) say however, that Ironhaus is a dream to work with.

I don't do a whole lot of collaboration work. Mostly I work with others as far as casting, prototyping, and consignment work. Ironhaus would be the first true collaboration I've been involved in. We both take ownership of our projects, and they are ever evolving as we both have more ideas than can be crammed into one project. I can't say enough good about working with Ironhaus, and am extremely proud of this latest endeavor. From the present figures, and future ones in the works, to the tie in of the buildings. I can't wait to show you what's to come!

 

For now, those of you that haven't seen these yet, I'll let the figures speak for themselves.

Rise of the Beasts!

Busy with this, that, and the other thing... plenty of new stuff in the works, new monsters discovered, some more exploration into the Mutants, Infestors, and Hunters to be seen...

HOWEVER what's happening now, on another front, is RISE OF THE BEASTS!!! These guys are amazing, and I am very proud to have a very small hand in helping bring them to the table.

A lot of people put in a lot of effort to get this line going. I was a supporter of the original Kickstarter and have stuck by them ever since. Every time we heard some progress I would get excited again. Jon took the long road of self funding the project to deliver what was promised. I was blown away when asked if I would work on the prototyping for the first run. Really?? That's a question?!?!

Now that the figures have been out for a bit, my kids and I have a pile together. These guys are great! I keep them at my desk at work, as well as at home. The wait was more than worth it! Thanks for bringing these to us guys, and for letting me have a small part in it all.

If you haven't already..... do yourself a favor and GO GET A SET NOW!!

I decided to paint a set of the black I had ordered because I've been dying to paint them since I saw the originals! These guys are as much fun to paint as I expected, or more. They are completely packed with detail, and the material accepts paint beautifully.

I put both the Rhino and the Scorpion on eBay, so go for it if you're into painted figures, or know someone who is.

There are some other directions planned for the Infestors, but as far as this current series, the final installment is on the horizon.

Infestors - Joining the Fight!

Wanted to spotlight a few places that have been a source of entertainment, information, and inspiration for a while now. Recently they have spread the word on Infestors, and provided some in-depth reviews, complete with wonderful photography, and some critique.

I respect these guys a lot, and always enjoy their work. Just wanted to say a little thank you, and hopefully pass along these great spots to some new people who haven't ran across them yet.

I will list these guys in order of the Infestors reviews. Each site is equally worthwhile in their own area.

First we have Little Weirdos.

You can get lost for hours, even days on this site. You will likely go broke.... after you discover many toy lines you didn't know existed, and now can't live without. Remembering a mini figure from your childhood, but can't put a name to? Yeah, it's probably here. Come back often, there's always something new and awesome on here!


Second we will visit the University of M.U.S.C.L.E.

This place is exactly what it says. The approach of this site is that of a university. You will be schooled on all things M.U.S.C.L.E. and everything in its orbit. On the far fringe of that are independent toys, mostly of the mini figure variety. That's where the Infestors fit in. Again, you can get lost forever on this site as well. There's plenty to read through, you will learn lots! There is even a bit to get you a good start on a Monday... Professor Terry typically submits a Monday Morning M.U.S.C.L.E. Musing

Last, but by no means least Nerditis.

This guy reviews all kinds of toys. Just like the other two sites, I am honored to have Ironhause and my work featured here. His reviews are always honest, and like Little Weirdos, his photography is always fun. UofM takes a more clinical approach, which makes sense given the format. I am thankful for this guy's reviews as they've helped point me in the right direction on plenty of occasions. Dodged a few bullets as well.


All three of these spots are very informative, and different. I would bookmark the lot, and visit often!

Infestors Exiled

Infestors Exile

In light of this new directive, Moxley devised an off-site facility under the guise of survival and combat training. This was the story he fed his colleagues. Working quickly, using grunts to shuffle equipment, he built a satellite facility. Meanwhile he carried out his orders while the others carried on with their work. Once all was in place, he had his top specimens transferred for training. Remaining research in hand, he lit the facility up.

Infestors Invasion

We pick up several decades later. Moxley has continued his work all along... working underground, creating a society, a race. The Infestors ranks had grown to legions. They spent more, and more time above ground. Finding allies amongst the Mutants, and learning of the Hunters. Still unknown to the Hunters, some have made prey of the predators. Ghosts of the desert.
